How is this different from a pantry app?+
A pantry app tracks food to help you waste less at the grocery store. StockWell is a preparedness tool: it tracks food, water, medicine, fuel, first aid, and gear across every place you store, and turns it into days-of-supply so you know how ready you actually are. Reducing waste is a nice side effect.
Is the free plan really free?+
Yes. The Starter plan is free with the core inventory and expiration features, and no credit card is required.
How does the free trial work?+
You get the full Prepared plan free for 30 days. We ask for a card up front so nothing breaks when the trial ends, but you are not charged during it. We email you a few days before it ends, and if you cancel any time before day 30 you pay nothing at all. If you do nothing, Prepared starts at $6/month (or $60/year if you picked yearly) and renews until you cancel. One trial per household.
Do I need a barcode scanner?+
No special hardware. StockWell prints standard QR labels that you scan with your phone's camera.
Can my family share one inventory?+
Yes. On the Homestead plan you can invite household members to share a single inventory and keep it in sync.
Does it work on my phone?+
StockWell is a web app that works in any mobile browser, and you can add it to your home screen to use it like a native app.
Is my data private?+
Your inventory is private to your household and isn't shared with anyone else.
Can I cancel a paid plan?+
Yes. You can cancel anytime from your billing settings. Your plan stays active through the end of the period you've already paid for, then drops back to the free Starter plan. Your inventory stays put either way.
